A 9th Interscholastic Youth Mountain Bike Season!
IYC’s 5 PICL (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League) teams are headed into an impressive 9th season with NICA! Coming off a great 2023, with SoMont Cheltenham taking 4th in PICL Division 1 team standings, pre-season planning has already begun. The PICL/NICA 2024 season is set to begin with an Adventure weekend in late August. This will be followed by various exciting local and state-wide events. IYC is proud to host our second PICL Local Dirt on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Twining Valley Park.
IYC is also excited once again to celebrate the achievements of outgoing seniors for their remarkable contributions to the club over the years: Emma, June, Marguerite, Trey, Logan, Malachi and Asher.

USA Cycling Club
As of January 23, 2024, IYC’s programs include an official USA Cycling Club! This important milestone will aid the organization’s growth and provide a strong foundation for new programs, including enhanced insurance options, new programs and additional practice/clinic options. The affiliation will help facilitate access, resources and recognition through the USA Cycling community.
Expansion Into Cyclocross!
Headed by IYC’s Director of CX Dave Berson, IYC is expanding into youth cyclocross! This new program is developed in collaboration with Guy’s Racing Club. Cyclocross clinics are scheduled for April and May, leading up to a race season starting in September, featuring both local and regional events.
