That’s a Wrap on the 2024 Cyclocross Season!

Tonight is the first night that it really feels like winter is coming. There is a rawness in the air. It would appear that fall has come to an abrupt halt making way for more chilly temps. But with that, comes the holidays to cheer us up. Many homes in our neighborhood have already been decorated for the holidays, brightening up the gray skies at night.
The Mid Atlantic cyclocross season has also ended and with that ends our first IYC Cyclocross Season.
Reflecting upon the season, I think it fair to say that each of you have come a long way since our clinics in the spring and summer and some with little to no prior cx racing experience. I feel like since the first race, IYC CX athletes hit the ground running and blew away our expectations week after week. We are glad that so many of you were able to participate, whether it be in one or all of the races or just showing up to learn the skills at our clinics. Our hope was that you had fun, learned new cycling skills, made new friends and challenged yourselves in whatever way that looked like. Bottom line, we hope that you got great value out of the program and enjoyed racing ‘cross. Feel free to drop a note to Dave, myself or John about your experiences we would love to hear from you.
This would not be possible without all the parents that made the time and sacrifices to bring you to the races and help out. It was great to see everyone gathered around the IYC tent, getting ready and then talking about the race afterwards. Thank you IYC CX Parents!!
