Connecting Communities Through Cycling
Independence Youth Cycling is excited to be part of the 4th annual Tacony Creek Park Music & Arts Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1 PM to 5 PM. Held at The Big Field in Tacony Creek Park (East Olney Avenue between Rising Sun Avenue and Tabor Road), this free event offers something for everyone in the community!
Enjoy live performances by Timbalona, Guachinangos, and Conjunto Philadelphia, plus beats from DJ June Lopez. Other activities include a pumpkin patch, arts & crafts, Candy Nature Hayride Adventure and biking activities.
IYC is offering a pop-up bike park and guided bike rides through the park’s trails, giving you a chance to explore this crucial green space. IYC will have bikes and helmets from the fleet to borrow — but bring your own bike too if you have one. We’ll also be raffling off a youth mountain bike & helmet—just fill out a quick biking survey to enter!
Tacony Creek Park is a vital resource in North/northeast Philadelphia, serving a diverse mix of communities. IYC is proud to participate, aiming to reach underrepresented groups and promote outdoor recreation through cycling.
