🎉 Free Family-Friendly Event

On Saturday, June 7, Independence Youth Cycling is rolling into Fish Fest 2025, and we’re bringing bikes, skills, and stoke to the Delaware River waterfront! Hosted by Riverfront North Partnership (RNP), this event celebrates the power of parks, trails, and community right here in Northeast Philly.

We’re thrilled to be part of this celebration for the second year in a row—connecting young riders to nature, movement, and community with our free youth bike skills clinic and guided trail rides.

Biking for All Ages and Skill Levels

Whether your child is brand new to biking or already riding strong, IYC’s setup at Fish Fest is built to inspire and support every rider.

🚲 Bike Rodeo & Skills Zone
Our coaches will lead youth through fun, confidence-boosting activities that teach balance, bike handling, and control—perfect for new and developing riders.

🌿 Trail Ride Along the Waterfront
Riders who are ready will join us for a guided cruise along the scenic K&T Trail, experiencing the beauty of Philly’s revitalized riverfront by bike. We provide the bikes and helmets—you just bring the energy!

All activities are free, with bikes and gear available through our Bikes on Demand program. No registration required—just stop by our tent during event hours.

More Than Just Bikes

Fish Fest isn’t just about cycling—it’s a full day of fun designed to showcase the amazing outdoor opportunities along the riverfront, including:

🎣 Fishing – Try your hand at casting with free instruction and equipment
🎨 Art Activities – Create nature-inspired crafts
🛶 Kayaking – Get on the water with non-motorized paddling experiences
🌱 Community Resources – Connect with organizations supporting Northeast Philly families
🍴 Food and Refreshments – Enjoy snacks and drinks while you explore

Why Riverfront North Matters

Riverfront North Partnership is leading a powerful transformation along Northeast Philadelphia’s Delaware River waterfront. Through trail development, park improvements, and community programming, RNP is reconnecting neighborhoods to nature, recreation, and each other. Events like Fish Fest highlight their mission in action—welcoming all families to enjoy and protect this vital outdoor space.

We’re proud to stand with Riverfront North and their partners in creating healthier, more connected communities through parks, trails, and active experiences.

Let’s Ride

We can’t wait to see you on June 7. Whether you’re coming to ride, fish, paddle, or play—stop by the IYC tent and say hello. We’ll be ready with bikes, helmets, smiles, and stoke.
