On an evening filled with curiosity, community, and cycling spirit, we welcomed new interested families to our 2025 PICL MTB Season Info Meeting. With the season fast approaching, the session gave families an inside look at what makes IYC a powerful and positive force in youth development across Greater Philadelphia.

Meet the Team Behind the Teams
Our riders come from over 30 schools and 11 school districts, split into school-based and regional composite teams. Key team directors and head coaches were introduced, giving families the chance to connect with their local leaders:
-
School-Based Teams: Abington and Cheltenham are led by Sara and Joe Peters, and Regina Altemus.
-
Composite Teams: From Wissahickon Park in the NW to Northeast Philly, each team is helmed by an experienced coaching duo. Notable leaders include Heidi Levin, Lara Magge, Dan Maialetti, Matt Braden, and Matt Regan.
-
Core Support: Communications, trail work, logistics, and strategy are handled by dedicated volunteers like Jason Schadel, Sara Peters, and Lara Magge.
