PICL Corrects Erroneous Event Dates
PICL recently notified the community that the Johnstown and Pittsburgh event dates were flip-flopped on the official Events page on the PICL websites. The dates have been corrected and can be found below. If you made lodging plans we ask you to update your plans as soon as possible. (Note: Pittsburgh lodging will be hotels (no camping), while Johnstown can be camping OR hotel.) If you have questions about lodging, please see the Google Doc linked in at the bottom of this email.

Importance of RSVPing for practice!
We can’t stress enough the importance of RSVPing for practice via TeamSnap. With a team of almost 70 student athletes it is MISSION CRITICAL for our senior coaching staff to know who is attending practice and if we have the coaching staff to support. If you are unsure about a date’s attendance, please mark MAYBE. RSVPing is required for every student-athlete and coach!!!
Weather policy
Weather Cancellations/Changes: Summer weather brings the possibility of practice changes or cancellations due to heat or storms. Our goal is to have each scheduled practice, but the safety of the kids (and coaches!) is of utmost importance. For weekday practices we will make a decision regarding changes/cancellations by 4:00 p.m. For Saturdays we will make the call by 8 am. Unless notified otherwise, practice is ON! We promise to notify you via TeamSnap anytime there is a practice change or cancellation.
Reminder About Inhalers
A reminder for anyone with an inhaler and/or epi-pen to make sure they have it on them at every practice.
Blue Comet Event
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 30th 8:30am-noon, Blue Comet Scramble! This event will be for all athletes. Families are welcome to attend and hang out. BBQ food will likely be available for purchase. Additionally, there’s lots to see and do in/around the town of Skippack.
Season Event Calendar and Lodging Info
Our statewide events start in Gettysburg on September 10 with a super-fun camping weekend where the trails and course are right there on site!

Gettysburg is then followed up by 2 events in central and western PA. Our final 3 events are at Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Fail Hill Maryland (only 1 hour drive) and Raystown Lake PA.
